On the 10 May 2010, on the occasion of Mother’s Day, the End FGM European Campaign  published a campaign digest that addresses the need to address FGM as an underlying cause of the lack of progress on the Millennium Development Goals.

In particular, FGM and its ill-effects prevent achievement of MDG 3, 4, 5 and 6.
