Project Flying Team against Violence – Combating Honour Related Violence and Forced Marriages

CALL for: Members/experts for the creation of a “Flying Team”

The EU funded project entitled “Project Flying Team against Violence – Combating Honour Related Violence and Forced Marriage”  to which MIGS is a partner, is in search of five experts that will consist the “Flying Team”, one from each participating country: The Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Cyprus and Turkey. The END FGM European Campaign meets in Rome to discuss the way forward

On the 11th October 2011 the END FGM European Campaign organised an internal training entitled “END FGM: How to play the Game in the European Union” in Rome. Through a participatory learning environment the training aimed to build and enhance capacities, within and across the END FGM partner organisations, for successfully negotiating END FGM Strategy elements, both at the national and the European Union level. Partner organisations, strong voices and Amnesty International representatives where introduced to good ways to identify targets and develop a relevant negotiation strategy. (more…)

Enhancing women’s rights, gender equality and civil society participation in the context of the Istanbul-Marrakech Process

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network (EMHRN), in partnership with MIGS, Kvinna till Kvinna (Sweeden), Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies (Egypt), Adalah (Israel), is implementing the project entitled “Enhancing women’s rights, gender equality and civil society participation in the context of the Istanbul-Marrakech Process” funded by the European Union and the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECID). The social development organisation MOVISIE International (Netherlands), in partnership with the Mediterranean Institute of Gender Studies, is coordinating a project entitled Combating Honour Related Violence and Forced Marriages Flying Team against Violence, funded by the European Commission Daphne III Programme.
