MIGS recently became a member of the Euromed Human Rights Network (EMHRN), following the Network’s General Assembly that took place in December 2008.  The EMHRN was established in 1997 in response to the Barcelona Declaration and the establishment of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership.  It represents over 80 human rights organizations based in 30 countries in the Euromed region. The European Women’s Lobby (EWL) is the largest umbrella organisation of women’s associations in the European Union (EU), working to promote women’s rights and equality between women and men.  EWL membership extends to organisations in all 27 EU member states and the three candidate countries, as well as to 21 European-wide bodies, representing a total of more than 2500 organisations.  (more…)

The Mediterranean Institute for Gender Studies is a member of WIDE which is a European network of development NGOs, gender specialists and human rights activists. WIDE monitors and influences international economic and development policy and practice from a feminist perspective. (more…)
