risk-assessmentIn order to facilitate the process of compliance with Article 51 of the Council of Europe Convention on the Prevention and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (Istanbul Convention) on risk assessment and risk management, MIGS carried out a study on “Risk Assessments of Domestic Violence”, with funding by the National Machinery of Women’s Rights of the Ministry of Justice and Public Order. The study examines and analyses existing risk assessments mechanisms on domestic abuse both in Europe and internationally that have shown a high rate of success, as well as the legislative and other measures required to ensure effective implementation of such mechanisms. The report also provides specific recommendations on the implementation of a risk assessment and risk management mechanism in Cyprus, taking into account the legislative framework and the specific country context.
