Members of the Mediterranean Institute of Gender Studies [MIGS] -the Cyprus National Contact Point for Euro Mediterranean Network for Youth Trafficking Prevention [EMNYTP], attended the Contact Making Seminar at Coventry UK organized by Minorities of Europe [MoE].

The Contact Making Seminar aimed at bringing together youth organisations and groups dealing with vulnerable trafficking disadvantaged youth in order to build sustainable partnerships on youth trafficking prevention projects in Euro Mediterranean region and improve the quality of the future YOUTH program projects.

The objectives of the Seminar were:

• To support networking and co-operation between minority youth organizations, groups and individuals (trainers, multipliers, youth leaders) feeling capable and willing to work on youth trafficking prevention

• To introduce information, improving the knowledge of participants on YOUTH Program, opportunities for EuroMed Networking and joint projects on youth trafficking prevention

• To create an opportunity to improve the communication between members and gather new members for the EuroMed Network for Youth Trafficking Prevention

The aims and objectives of the seminar were met through the variety of methods used, including group work, simulations, group building exercises, exchange and feedback on project ideas. The projects and experiences of the participants served as the basis for reflection and discussion of good practices. Contributions by participants and invited experts gave a broad picture of existing theories, initiatives, projects and approaches to working towards the prevention of human trafficking across Europe.
