On the invitation of Police Officer Rita Superman, of the Anti-Trafficking Unit of the Police Department, Josie Christodoulou and Susana Pavlou conducted a training session on Gender Stereotypes and Trafficking in Women at the Police Academy on the 9th November 2006.

Participants included officers from various departments such as the Immigration Office and the Anti-Trafficking Unit, among others. The training session also focused on gender and stereotypes in order to provide a better understanding on how stereotypes are related to inequality between men and women and in turn how this relates to violence against women, and trafficking in women in particular.
